Here we go folks! Utah for Responsible Growth has officially filed 3 petitions for referendum with the Salt Lake County Clerk's office on the Olympia Hills project.
Why 3 petitions, you ask? Due to the laws surrounding land use referendums, which do not allow for a petition to be filed on more than one law, we felt it best to file 3 separate applications - one on each of the 3 ordinances approved by the county council in relation to Olympia Hills. The county now has up to 20 days to review our applications, and determine if they are legal. We will definitely put the word out as soon as we know what they determine. Once approved, signature packets and our 45 day gathering clock will start not long after.
So stay tuned and spread the word! Many hands make light work - and we will need signatures from all over SLCo to put this development on the ballot.
